Arise Africa Fashion Week JHB and Cape Town Shattered Glass were instrumental in the sound and lighting design for the Arise Africa Fashion week and Gala Awards with headline act R.Kelly held at the Sandton Convention Centre in June 2009. Doing all rigging, providing projection and screens, it was a technical and creative success boasting over 50 designers from 20 countries on the African continent.
After a successful event in Johannesburg with ARISE Africa Fashion Week in June, ARISE Cape Town Fashion Week took place in the Mother City at the Cape Town Internation Convention Centre with all technical aspects implemented by Shattered Glass AV and Staging. Designers included Craig Port, Black Coal, Dax Martin, Gavin Rajah to name but a few. The three day schedule was tightly packed with lavish runway performances produced by IT Productions, Deon Redman and Tramps. Reviews for the shows have been outstanding and Shattered Glass is proud to have been associated with an event that clearly puts African fashion into the global spotlight.
