Shattered Glass have an exceptionally proactive Human Resources Department and take on a holistic approach to training. A very close working relationship with staff is forged and as such an identify and act on process is in place. 

Individual Staff Member’s strengths and weaknesses are identified, they are offered training and direction to further their strengths and in so doing improve their career status, by identifying weaknesses the staff member can be offered training tools to transform weaknesses into strengths. 

The Technical Team at Shattered Glass continually strive to further their knowledge on not only products and brands that they carry, but on what is available in world markets.  The field of technology is such that new technology and products are continually launched and says Mick Landi, “because what we do is our commitment and our  passion, we visit international trade shows, continually monitor international trends and work at staying ahead of our game.”

Shattered Glass are honoured to have been selected by one of our suppliers to attend training on both sound and lighting at the manufacturers abroad. 

Our Head Lighting Designer – Richard Horwell, one of the Directors of the Group, was invited by lighting manufacturer – SGM, to attend training in Italy.  An amazing accolade for this young man.  Testimony to the fact that our staff are highly skilled and sought after for their knowledge and skill.

As training is the key to not only offering outstanding service but also to empowering staff, we take our training responsibilities very seriously.  In terms of training on equipment and technical expertise, nothing is as successful as hands on, on the job training. 

By having team leaders, a vast quantity of knowledge is shared and learned.  In addition to daily on the job training, formal technical training takes place and includes both theoretical and practical applications.  From First Aid training, starting with the certified Level One status, to training on specific equipment, to hosting international trainers for certification on structures, we cover all of our bases.
